Social Networking: Better or Worse than the Real Thing?

I chose to analyze social networking to answer the following question: Is it better or worse than the real thing? Social networking is ubiquitous in today's society. Because of the boom of social media and virtual networking, face-to-face interactions seem to be a thing of the past. In my research paper, I intend to delve into the positives and negatives of social media. I will back up my research with statistics, anecdotes, etc. After having talked about the positives and negatives of social media in great detail, providing the reader with necessary information in the process, I will compare social networking to in-person networking, or face-to-face interactions. I will approach the aforementioned question in an unbiased fashion and let my findings answer the question.
